Daily Disposable Contact Lenses

Let’s  talk about soft daily contact lenses. Our optometrists may have brought up a newer modality called a daily disposable contact lens. The beauty of these is that they are brand new each day and cleaning them is basically unnecessary. One positive benefit is that they are much healthier for your eyes. The more often you replace your contact lenses, the less likely there is for protein and calcium deposits on the lenses. In addition, virtually every study on hygiene and compliance rate daily disposable contact lenses as the highest versus biweekly or monthly modalities.

An added benefit is that you do not have to purchase as much cleaning solutions or contact lens storage cases. This is convenient for traveling, especially when packing contact lenses for an airplane trip.

Dr. Mai and Dr. Lam at Insight Vision Center highly recommends the uses of daily disposable soft contact lenses. For those who are currently using the monthly/weekly contact lenses or those who want to try contacts, dailies are definitely ones that you should consider switching to or getting. There are so many positive benefits with dailies disposable soft contact lenses. Serving the communities of Costa Mesa, Irvine, Newport Beach, Tustin, Santa Ana, Hungtington Beach, Orange, Fountain Valley, Anaheim, and the rest of Orange County.
