To keep them clear and comfortable, remember that, when you take them from your eyes, rub them with a lens cleaner for a few seconds before rinsing both sides with a saline solution and then finally storing them.

Sleeping

Never sleep with your scleral lenses still on, and remember to take them out before going to bed. When you’re asleep and not blinking, debris on the surface of your eyes that would normally be wiped away by tears gathers on or around your lenses. Dust, germs, protein deposits, lipid deposits and allergens are some of the debris and other things that can be found there. These materials can accumulate and cause inflammation, infection and discomfort in the eyes.
